This morning we got up early and had a quick breakfast and then met our guide at the first station at 7.30am. We drove out of Dubrovnik for about 1/2 hr and then picked up three Italian guys who were going us for the day. About 45 minutes out of Dubrovnik we get to the border of Croatia and Montenegro. We stopped at the Croatian border and had our passports checked. No worries, we keep driving and a few minutes later we stop at the Montenegro border and passports checked no worries. We keep driving for a while and the scenery is beautiful. We see big beautiful lake, gorgeous fjords and lots of towns. We stop at the Risan/Kotor bay and see the beautiful lake with two churches in the middle of the lake, one Catholic and one Orthodox.
We continue to drive for about 1/2 hr and get to Kotor .We explore the old town and spent about 1.5 hrs here. Its a small old town, cute and not a lot of people around. We walk around and check out the beach, church, backstreets, shops and the local fresh fruit and vegetable market.
Our next stop was Budva which was much bigger. We walked around the old town for two hours checking out the town, the beach and the scenery. We had some pizza and bought a little souvenir for our christmas tree and then it was back on the bus.
Next stop was Sveti Stefan which is a small town in the ocean. Its own buy some rich Thai guy and its a resort and you can stay there if you are willing to pay about 2,000 euro per night. So its resort guests only so we just admire it from a distance. Its pretty cool looking place stuck out in the ocean. A few photos here and then back on the bus and we spent the next few hours travelling back to Dubrovnik. We past two borders again and handed over our passports and then arrived back into Croatian soil about 6pm.
